Windows Photo Viewer Troubles.

I have been noticing this problem with alot of my photos.

They all "view" normally in my software program Lightroom 5.4

When im just browsing the files and selecting "view" (double clicking) some of the photos look like this......




heres the same file in lightroom


all are just jpegs, and as i said if i open the same file in lightroom they view normal.

Any ideas?

Right click the image > properties > details. Is horizontal and vertical res the same dpi? I'm thinking this is a pixel aspect ratio issue.

both are 72 dpi

From the same place as before, click remove properties and personal information. You might want to create a copy if you want any of that info.

I get errors, wont let me do anything, i selected to remove all......ss below shows errors

Did you try the first option, copy with all possible properties removed?

Well it says which property is giving the error so did you skip that one? Where ever the jpg is coming from must be messing up the info if windows can't even remove it. If you can't get this solved just use another software to view photos, a web browser maybe so you don't have to install anything extra.
