I have a software that I use a lot and about a month ago I was running it on my PC, left my PC for about an hour, came back, and my whole PC was frozen and the screen was black. I restarted the PC and tried to open the program back up and it wouldn't open, I looked in Task Manager and every time I click on the program to open it Windows Problem Reporting pops up in Task Manager then disappears. I reinstalled the program and uninstalled it many times to no avail.
I went through one month of support with the company that makes the software (Quixel http://quixel.se/) and also Windows, both have been utterly useless. Microsoft wants me to pay for support (I paid for $100 windows 10 and also word, they cant provide support, really?) and I am not and will not ever pay them any more of my money, Quixel has not come up with a solution yet.
Here is the weird thing, I installed the software on a different drive and it works, but then I left my PC again and came back and it did the same thing it did on the other drive, so I can install the software on different drives and its fine, until I leave the application running and come back and it is permanently ruined.
This is driving me nuts because for 1 month I have not really been able to do anything, neither company is actually helping. I never changed anything on my PC, and this is the only application that is giving me issues.
