Windows Remote Assistance not allowing me to use Easy Connect

When I open Window Remote Assistance the Easy Connect option is grayed out.
I don't know how to fix it.

In using Easy Connect with Windows Remote Assistance, both computers must be running the same version of Windows. Is your PC the host machine? What are the specs of the client PC?

I am trying to help a person on Windows 8.1. I know that Easy Connect works across all newer windows versions. (Win 7, Vista, 8, 8.1

If this is the case, perhaps the Peer Name Resolution Service package is not started. Type in services.msc in Start and select the first option. Scroll down (if arranged by name) to Peer Name Resolution Protocol. Stop the service, then start it again. Do the same for the Peer Networking Identity Manager. Once these steps have been completed, try Easy Connect again. If it doesn't work, reboot your PC, and try Easy Connect.
