Windows resized after resuming from sleep

So after I resume from sleep on my windows 7 machine I notice all my windows get resized to a small square. This all started when I got my new asus 27 inch 1440p monitor. I downloaded the driver for the monitor and have latest graphics driver. About to just update to windows 10 and be done with it all. Any ideas?

Check your sleep / screen saver settings. Make sure you restart and check your display driver settings to make sure it's defaulted to 1440p. If you update to Win 10, all of this might be moot. Good luck!
