Question windows said locking now laptop wont turn on

the screen said locking then it was like it shut down but the light(internet, power indicator stuff like that) were stile on then i held down the power button to reboot and then it wouldnt turn back on like the battery was dead ive tried changing the battery plugging it in with and without the battery and nothing works

i fixed it battery was dead and the power strip was broken
