As the main OS? Sure. I used to.
But...Server2008 is a decade old now.

depends if its R2 or not. 2008 R2 is from Windows 7 era, just barely not a decade old.
2008 plain is Vista era, supported by MS like R2 is, but like vista, software support is fading fast . still probably usable, not recommended if you can go for R2 though
