I originally had a Windows 10 install and was running Windows Server as a virtual. I decided to do a physical install of the Server so that the whole set up would be more stable. However, the second I installed server, my system failed to detect the video card at all. I tried changing settings in bios, reinstalling the driver, etc. The card is an NVIDIA GEForce 660, installed on a home built system.
Since I dual boot I booted back into Ubuntu and the video card started working perfectly. So obviously its an issue with the OS. Although I'd never heard of an OS failing to even detect the card (its not even present in the Device Manager). Thoughts?

Okay, here's the solution. Windows Server 2012 was built on a Windows 8.1 Kernel, Windows 10 is a new kernel. Supposedly 2012 R2 will be built on the Windows 10 Kernel. But in the meantime if you're looking for a driver for Server 2012 you need to employ the driver built for Windows 8.1
I did a new install of 8.1 driver and I magically have my video card back. Heaven forbid that Microsoft at the very least detect the existence of the video card!
