Hello everyone, I'm working promoting a windows server 2012 r2 to a domain controller from a server 2003 domain. At first I was getting an error on the Prerequisits Check that I was not a part of the Enterprise Admins group or the Schema Admins group. From there I went into my server 2003 server and added my user to those groups. Now on that same screen I get this error:
Verification of prerequisits for Active Directory preperation failed. Unable to verify whether schema master has completed a replication cycle after last reboot. Exception: Insufficient Rights. Server extended error: 8344 (INSUFF_ACCESS_RIGHTS), data 0 .
Adprep failed to verify whether Schema master has completed a replication cycle after last reboot.
[Status/Consequence]
The schema is not upgraded
[User Action]
Check the log file ADPrep.log in the C:\Windows\debug\adprep\logs\20150530120037- test directory for possible cause of failure.
The only people I found with this error had a domain controller not properly removed, but I don't have any one other than my main server 2003 which is fully operational. Thank you/
