Windows server 2016

Hello! I am interested in purchasing windows server 2016. I have been using windows 2008 for some time now and I am wanting to get up to date. I see that windows 2016 uses CALs. I have roughly 80 machines and roughly 60 users. Would I have to purchase a CAL for each and every machine just to use it for active directory and file sharing?

Depends if you are using User or device CAL's, but you need one license for every system or every user.
