Question windows server 2019 vs ubuntu for backing up files from remote locations.

I need a server to back up files from my business. Im going to keep the server at my house and remote in. I would like to find a software that runs like one drive so i can just have a file folder on my work pc and it auto saves to the home server. I'm not sure what os is better for this and also open to software idea's. I have been looking at tonido as the first one to try. Open to all suggestions.
Right now my plan is to build a ryen 2700x system with 8tb in raid of space to start . all the work and home pc's run windows 10 pro.
