Hi guys,

I've just setup a new pc with a fresh copy of Windows XP Pro. I have very little installed bar the few essentials.

I'm not a huge fan of the XP theme so I have switched it to the classic theme. I also have a dual monitor setup and have my right hand side monitor as the primary, with my left as the secondary. Consequently, I change the position of this in the desktop settings area so I can just move the mouse left to get onto the second monitor.

All was fine until I installed McAfee AV 2006 after which, whenever I reboot, my theme resorts to the Windows XP theme and my monitor settings are lost. I've tried removing McAfee to no avail and Google searches don't find anything...

If anyone had suggestions on how this can be resolved, I would appreciate it.

Some extra information:

I have an ATI X1800XT graphics card running the latest Catalyst drivers.

Monitors are both Viewsonic VP2030b's.

Disabling the themes as a service corrects the themes issue however I still have the monitor problem. My right hand monitor is my primary monitor so I move the position of this to the right of the other display (in either the Catalyst control center or the Windows desktop settings) so that when I move my mouse to the left of the primary monitor (the one on the right), it goes across to the left hand monitor.

However, again, when I reboot this setting is lost.
