Hello everyone,

I have the MSI GV62 8RC-216NL gaming laptop, but sicnce yesterday says windows that i have 128MB of dedicated video memory while i have a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. I tried multiple solutions, watched YouTube tutorials, looked on multiple websites but nothing worked. So i hoped that i could get some support here.

On the Windows 10 adapter properties it also says that my laptop monitor is connected at a Intel UHD Graphics 630.

My Specs:
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8750H
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
  • RAM: 16GB DDR4
  • OS: Windows 10 Home
  • Storage 1: 256GB M.2
  • Storage 2: 1TB HDD
Greetings,

I tried it and i don’t believe it switched to the dedicated gpu. In GTA 5 for example it doesn’t switch because the fps stays at 20 to 30 fps, while before the issue it had 60 fps.

Also the gpu memory clock stays around 400 MHz. Is that normal?

The problem has been solved!

The solution was to set the shift in MSI Dragon Center from Comfort to Sport or Turbo.

The only thing is that when i’m gaming and then close the game, my cursor is doing pretty slow.

Edit: even when i'm not gaming, the cursor/mouse reacts slowly. I have my NVIDIA settings at Powerfull NVIDIA processor.
