I have an internal hard drive that just started showing as a RAW drive that windows can't connect to or fix with chkdsk. I booted to a Liunx Live environment, and this same hard drive is showing as NTFS and all my data is on the drive. Not sure how I can make this drive available in Windows.

Solution
Use Linux to make a backup of your files. There is some inconsistency in the file system, so be prepared for some file corruption. Windows reports a drive as RAW (just a bunch of bits) if it finds such inconsistencies, but Linux may not be so strict.
