Recently my computer hasn't been able to fully shutdown / restart - It reaches the Shutting down screen and stays like it forever. The only fix i've found is holding down the power button. Any help would be much appreciated.

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700
Mobo: Asus B450M DS3H
RAM: Corsair LPX 2 x 8GB
PSU: Corsair CX550
GPU: Radeon RX 590

Solution
The usual reason is that there is an active program still running.
There may be an option somewhere to allow windows to close running apps on shutdown.
Task manager may help to identify it.
Possibly it might be an antivirus program.

Usually when it happens it's a program with no name and the default icon. Weirdly enough it doesn't happen all the time, probably after one of the windows updates.
