Hey everyone

I've got an issue where my computer boots into Windows, then im just stuck with it 'loading', i cant actually use it from anywhere between 3 to 10 mins, becomes usable after the windows welcome sound happens

I've checked & gone through a load of 'how to's' & changed multiple settings, but still with the same results

Heres a sped up video of what happens on every power on (
View: https://youtu.be/zkavYIVx5HE
), its like it freezes & kicks into life after a while

Also a heres the startup in task manager

If anyone has any pointers or help that would be great

Specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800x
Aorus X570S Pro AX
Gigabyte Eagle 3060ti
32Mb Corsair DDR4 RAM
Samsung Nvme SSD 970 Evo Plus 1TB (Windows install)
Samsung 860 Evo SSD 1TB (Games only)
Generic HDD 2TB

Your motherboard bios should have an option called fast boot.
That will read a simple sequential file containing the windows load from the last successful boot.
It is much faster than loading individual components.

Perhaps a better option is to not boot at all.
Use sleep to ram.
That puts the pc and monitor into a very low power state, essentially like a full power off.
Sleep/wake should be only a handful of seconds.

If there is a problem app in the system, I would suspect discord.
Try stopping that app.

I had previously turned off fast boot within Windows settings as advised by other help articles, but that didnt make any difference from when it was on to off

I turned Fast Boot on in the bios, to both 'Enabled' & 'Ultra Fast' with no different in speeds

I have already disabled Discord on start up previously with no difference

Sleep to RAM at the moment isnt an option

Is there something that could be super basic that im missing ?

Safe mode loads windows with a minimum of drivers and startup options.
Most likely, your issue is with one of the startup apps.

See if there is any strange app that you do not recognize.
It could possibly be malware.
Some are there to constantly check to see if you may need an update to some installed app before proceeding.
Google can help identify a task if you do not recognize it.

Try disabling them all first, then enable them one by one to find the offender.

Out of curiosity, why is sleep to ram not an option for you?

All the Startup apps are listed above, i've turned each one off but not all at the same time

There are a number of Programs open in the Task Manager, there are showing 139 Background Programs open, there are lots of doubles of things, id have to double check them all, but can post a screenshot of them

Sleep to ram just sounds like a work around, trying to find the cause

so the CPU at start up seconds

AVG 0.13
Gener8 11.26
Gener8 Update 11
Icue 6.52
Razrt Synapse 3.84
Update (Github) 8.61

Everything else is either 0 or >50ms
My understanding is that the time is in cpu seconds.
If the task needs to do some i/o, that needs to be added.
There is also a disk I/O column that can be added.
On a HDD, any activity will take 40x longer than on a ssd.
There may be a network time that comes into play.

Looking for other posts, I came across an older one which reported a delay with Icue.
The interesting thing is that the issue was resolved with a bios update and chipset driver.
