Windows SP1, SP2

I checked My computer properties and realized I had only SP1, tried to Install SP2 only for it to say that I already have SP2 why would this be and how do I make sure SP2 is actually installed.

Obviously, I was doing this because it isnt updating properly to SP2. Everytime I try to update to SP2 it says "i already have service pack 2" when I go to check my properties under my computer, it still says service pack 1.

Download the standalone version and try that.

I have tried ALL of the obvious solutions. stand alone version. tried it. still saying i already have SP2 but when I right click on my computer and view properties SP1 still shows up.

Look in Control Panel\Updates Windows updates . If it is there uninstall and reinstall

I cant find nothing under programs or updates. and whenever I try to update my windows, it usually "fails to install"

Its usually NET frameworks that fail, and microsoft office associated files. but whenever I try to install service pack 2, it fails to install because I already have a version of that, but still when i right click properties under my computer, it claims I have service pack 1. I am also failing to update my video drivers, could this have anything to do with it?
