Is the Windows security pack 2 safe to install? I avoided it a month or two
ago because I saw so many negative comments about it. What is the final
verdict?

Just don't forget that with the (improved) Windows Firewall on by default in
SP2, you may need to add online/multiplayer games to your safe "exceptions"
list (assuming they don't ask you themselves).

Hmmmm ...I didn't know it had a firewall included. Is it any good? I use
ZoneAlarm and am not eager to change.

Hi Don,

I haven't had any issues running my online games with SP2.

You'll see negative comments in here from the few who do
have problems, but the majority who don't have problems
don't have time to post; They're too busy gaming! 🙂

I disabled the firewall and left Zonealarm on. No problems in doing that.

And yes, so far, so good on SP2.

It is safe to install Windows SP2 - don`t worry, nothing really bad
isn`t going to happen. The worse thing is that you must disable the
built-in firewall, to allow acces to other commercial firewalls like
Zone Alarm, or Black Ice.
