Windows Startup sometimes lags heavily.

This problem started about 3 weeks ago, my pc will sometimes lag at the Starting Windows screen before loading the windows logo and sometimes even after the logo (though for shorter duration). I tried the windows repair option but after about an hour of loading a message came up saying it couldn't fix the problem. This problem started pretty much out of the blue, what can I do to solve it?

You can try system restoring your computer back 3 weeks.

try System file checker by: Run > "sfc /scannow"

Hmm I must say I forgot about that XD. I have a question though, how much does the system restore, restore? Does it affect installations, saves, downloads?

sadly & stupidly I dont have a restore point available so I must fix this...

have you tried the system file checker ?

maybe you ccleaner your pc and run a full scan with malwarebytes just to make sure this isnt a malware problem

both are free and can be found on the web, malwarebytes is on ninite.com and ccleaner can be found piriform.com/ccleaner/download
