Question Windows Surface Tablets - Charging?

Years ago, I bought the first Windows Surface - the one that has about 8GB of space and runs that funny cut down version of Windows 8.

I only use it for movies while on holiday but I find the charger (that magnetic bar thing) a little too finicky these days.

Do the later versions have normal USB charging?

For what you describe and if you want to stay with a Windows tablet then the Surface Go would probably be the best option but only go for the 8GB RAM version. Of the smaller and cheaper Surface tablets this was the first to support charging via USB-C. However for best results you want a charger that can provide more than 18w which is most cheap USB-C chargers provide.

I have two-years old Surface Pro 4 (I think the last model with that magnetic connector), but I find it quite reliable.
