Hi, about 3 days ago ive got some massive FPS drops in games, cpu usage like 1%, fps instead of 120+ goes like 20
after some fiddling it seems to be related to timer resolution (interrupt timer for power saving)
if i have nothing opened, timer is at 15.6ms, all fine, if i open youtube page, groove (music), or any game, timer resolution gets changed every second, i cant remember any time whereit should be variable at all, youtube used 1ms, games usualy too...
if i lock it to 0.5ms all is fine, fps in games jumps up, but it increases power consumption..so not really a solution here
as far as i remember nothing changed 3days ago, no new ms update as i have manual updating.
so far what ive tried:
reseting bios, switching windows power plans, power mode is set to best performance, reinstalling chipset, gpu, sound card drivers
sfc /scannow comes out clean
