Hey, I did try that and also ran the chkdsk.
From the recovery Window, I can force it to boot but upon booting, I can’t login with my pin and after that, it tries to reapply a Windows update. From there, I get the error “\systemprofile\Desktop cannot be found” once it finally loads.
I tried registering the dlls to get explorer.exe and I checked my registry to check the paths for some stuff and they were correct. Explorer.exe token still can’t be found, so Windows explorer still doesn’t run (just have icons on my desktop that flash because I moved Desktop into the systemprofile).
I can’t find any other solutions, so I’ve bought an external hard drive that I’m going to try and put any files I care about on and then just wipe because I guess that the Windows update has ended up badly corrupting some stuff, unfortunately, and my CD drive has never worked properly so I can’t boot off of a CD.
