Windows update freeze

Windows update normally restart but it freeze instead. Its also apply to Fall creator update when its installing. I tried to unplug usb and up to date all my drivers but nothing work. I checked my nearly 5 years old hdd is not in a good shape, it has bad sectors. Maybe my failing hdd is causing windows update to freeze or there a conflict with drivers. Now the only solution, is updating with media creation tool but i fear it wont work. (Sorry english is not my native language.)

Current windows update version is 1703
Edit: I forgot to say i also did clean install and reset BIOS by default but nothing work.

Now the update freeze at 81%. I dont know why but should i wait? Because i still heard the hdd noise. Can a failing hdd cause windows update freeze? This is the third time i do the update.
