[SOLVED] Windows update keeps failing

Hey guys,
So I've done nearly everything i can think of to fix this issue no matter how mnay times I've reset windows update components or tried other common workarounds.
I've even tried lastnight to use the windows update tool to reinstall windows while keeping my files and even that has the same error:
0xC1900101 – 0x30018.
I read that looking in some files in $Windows-BT would help so I'm going to reply to this thread with two of the log files i think could help.

In case you have got it working yet or somebody else is trying to resolve the same issue the solution that worked for me was this.

In the Windows search type "Windows Features" to get into the Turn On/Off Windows Features. When you get there, uncheck "Internet Information Services" and also uncheck "Windows Process Activation Service" (you may want to do a print screen of the settings to restore later after the successful install). When you hit Ok, you will need to restart your Windows. Once it restarts, type "windows media creation tool" in the Windows search and click in the link that will take you to the "Windows 10 Download Page" and then select "Update Now". Enjoy !

I was updating from version 1803 to 1909 and the update was getting an error at 60% and showed this error code 0xC1900101 – 0x30018.

Things that i did try that did not work but might be still worth trying.

-windows update troubleshooter

-booting in CleanBoot and doing a cleanreset ,

-running various system checks,

-Making sure Bios is up to date,

-uninstalling all third party security software and other programs that i don't use,

-free up enough space(i had 16gigs of free space available),

-unplugging all unessential hardware,

-repairing hard drive issues and restoring and repairing system files.

Could you post your system components.

Most of the times that error shows up, it has to do with an antivirus or other security app or Incompatible or outdated drivers.
Also, it could be cause if your disk has errors or corrupted update files.

Check your disks for errors.
Update drivers.
Start in Safe Mode and navigate to folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and delete all its content.
Reboot.
