suggest you try to cancel updates and start of installing KB3102610
not the other, KB3083710 is start on some of the telemetry stuff you might not want, but might help

also keep in mind there is still a ton of updates for win7 making it a long process, and Microsoft hasnt exactly made this easier lately
in order to try and "persuade" users to get win 10, rumours suggest they have intentionally made win7 update an even bigger pain than necessary, weather or not you want to buy in to the "MS is evil conspiracy" or not, just be prepared you might have tiny hurdle ahead of you
