Windows vist with hdcp componets

I have Itunes 10.1 and now I am unable to download HD movies it says I need windows 7 with HDCP componets and I still have windows vista are there any updates to make it compatible...apple told me it is a security isue

Nope, this is a new way of DRM, if the hardware is not compatable, the HD movies won't play. They "should" play in non-HD format however from things I read on this a while back. I don't think you need Windows 7 but you may need to upgrade your video card to one that supports the format it's looking for. This is why many true tech people don't like Apple, you do things their way on their hardware with their specs or not at all. Find another service for movies, Netflix is great.
