WIndows Vista HHD Not Booting

Hello, I have a desktop that has windows 8 on the harddrive. I wanted to install a harddrive that has windows vista so i took out the hhd with windows 8 and installed the hhd with windows vista. SO i turned it on and it said, No boot disk has been detected or disk has failed. Is their a way to fix this? and btw when i reinstall the hhd with windows 8 it works.

Well I did disable sercure boot and it still doesnt work. I did the Harddrive test in (f2) and it doesnt even detect anything on the hhd. I think my hhd is broken thanks for your help. Reply if you have any more thoughts on this. thanks
