What make/model of CPU, motherboard, and power supply are you currently using? Increasing your storage space won't necessarily improve your gaming performance, but a stronger graphic card could certainly help.

Assuming you have an eMachines rig, it comes with a 220w PSU. That is going to seriously limit what video cards you can use (most gaming video cards require AT LEAST 450w PSUs).

What is your budget and where do you purchase computer parts from (your budget needs to be large enough for both a PSU and video card upgrade)?

this will be my first build ,i would purchase my computer parts online i suppose. any suggestions as to where to start looking. or would i be better off just buying a gamming pc?
