Windows Vista & MSWord 97

I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium and MS Word 97.

Without any warning the right click function in MS Word (to copy and paste) ceased working.

As suggested I went into RegEdit and edited HKEY_CURRENT_USER / software / microsoft / office / 12.0 / word found a folder called data and renamed it data1.

But the right click still does not work.

And when I go back into RegEdit a new folder has been generated with the title data (but the old data1 is still there) .

Note I also have an 8.0. I tried the data folder renaming and same thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is extremely frustrating.

are there any specific features in word 97 you need? it might be worth trying open office as it can read and save word 97 .doc files.

thanks - I can give it a try. I really need the copy and paste.

As well now I'm unable to copy/paste items from websites.

Why would this suddenly happen?
