Windows Vista, Truely a Cpu hog??

I forget where i was readng it but it said that vista was a cpu hog, just wondering if there is any truth to this. . . if not where can i get the beta version. I assuming it's on microsoft.com somewhere. just gotta see it

Right now they have only released it to Microsoft TechNet and MSDN subscribers. I am running the beta on a P4 2.8Ghz, 512MB RAM and Intel integrated video. It runs pretty smooth, but this is a very stripped down version. I believe that Microsoft is going to be releasing the public beta soon which will have more features enabled. Right now it looks like a pretty version of WinXP.
