Windows Vista will not boot up

Hello,

When I try to start my laptop windows vista operating system will not boot up for me and run?
I have tried to start up in safe mode and that would not work, I then did a start-up repair and that did not work, I also tried to do a system restore and that would not work for me. I am running an HP laptop, is there anything esle I can do.

some of the main components of the operating system is corrupted and the only option is to do a complete reload of the operating system if your computer came with an operating system otherwise you will need to obtain one. * your info should be able to be recovered from a secondary computer though however* music pictures and things like that but not the programs however.
