windows volume? error 0xc0000221

So after an attempt at fixing my mates pc, i think i might have installed another version of windows 10, i get the error 0xc0000221 and from what i can see i have installed another volume of windows cause i can with some trouble enter my pc by going into repair and saying it should boot from another version of windows and then i select volume 4 and then it works, i cant seem to figure out a way to remove the other volume and google isnt being friendly today

What do you mean by "another" version of windows 10? Please explain.

well i connected his hard drives into my pc, i then formatted them and installed windows 10 on his ssd, but that has apparantly made it so my pc thinks and tries to boot that windows 10 that isnt connected to the pc anymore
