I am very interested in linux (ubuntu) and was wondering if i should
1. Buy a 64gb ssd just for linux
2. Install my windows on my 500gb hdd WD BLUE and linux on my 64gb ssd
3. Not **** with linux
The only reason i ask is because the hdd will be slower and i was wondering if it would be a good idea.

Solution
To get your feet wet, you can run a Linux distro directly off a DVD or USB stick.
See how it works, see how you like it....see what it can do for you. Without dedicating a whole drive to it.

It'll be slower, but you can get a feel for it.
