I just built a new computer a few weeks ago, and installed windows 10. The build went smoothly, but installing windows went bad. Firstly when the install media would reboot my motherboard would go into a screen asking for a boot option without my usb being there, or anything that would indicate continuation of installing windows. After a few hours of messing around I finally got windows installed on my 240gb ssd; However at this point I went over installing windows so many times I got bored of typing the product key in, so it was inactivate. I went to activate windows and it went smoothly, or so I thought,

Since I first entered the product key it keeps deactivating windows.

My windows cycle currently>

>Computer crys about not having windows product key
>I activate using product key, the product key is accepted and windows says it needs to reboot to
finish the process
>Windows reboots and windows is activated and everything goes smoothly.
>Few days later windows says it needs to be activated....

& REPEAT

Note: I use the same product key every time, it gets accepted every time and says it is fully activated.

Solution
Not that hard, really. When you enter the product key, Microsoft probably just checks to see if it's a valid key. If so, it accepts it. Later, they check to see if the key has been used before (a much longer, in depth check). If so, they say only the first activation is valid and any subsequent activation is invalid. Hence you get the message.

It's likely you have a product key that has been used before and you need to try and get your money back.

The key is accepted, and all of windows features are unlocked. Windows says 'Windows is now activated'

in order to get to this step you would have needed a valid product key, yes? Why would windows lie and say it is a valid key, and 3 days later go "Nah nevermind TROLLED'

I'm not sure why it would do that but it makes sense. Try this:

http://www.techradar.com/us/news/software/operating-systems/how-to-fix-windows-10-activation-problems-1307446/2

The command at the bottom which you will run at the command prompt is helpful:

SLMGR.VBS -IPK XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

(Fill in your product key instead of the Xs, then restart).

......

Error 0xC004C008 means that the product key you're trying to use has been used to activate another PC already – if it's a key that can activate multiple systems, then you've reached the limit.

That will tell us quickly if you have a bad product key.

if its not bad try the other steps on that page, it will then validate the Installation ID.

As soon as I did that before I restarted I get

"Error 0xC004F069 On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0xC004F069' to display the error text."

From what I have read it means the was no previous windows version to upgrade from? It was a fresh install of windows on a brand new ssd from a computer just built????????????????

No home version.

And it is possible it is a bad key, I just don't understand how it can activate windows 10, Microsoft accepts it and activates windows, than 3 days later change their minds.

That is likely the issue.

Initially, it just checks to see if it is a validly constructed license key. Not necessarily whether it has been, or is currently, used in a different system.

Later, it talks to the activation server and poof..."Hey, dude...you have a key that is used elsewhere"

Pirate keys get banned and the license deactivated when the license is later checked. It checks more than once. Some pirate software will have a key server installed to fake activation. This software may be disabled with windows updates and the software's real activation state is exposed.

Also if you sell a retail key to more than one person the last person to activate it wins and the previous activations are revoked. When you 're- activated the key someone's else's machine was invalidated when they reactivate your machine will be deactivated. This goes on until some one gives up or the key is banned. Fun times for everyone.

Microsoft or Newegg.

Licenses from kinguin, as mentioned above, can and do get unactivated.
