I have installed windows on a new build and when I start the computer it goes into the "Press F2 or Del for BIOS screen" and then goes blank.

However, if I go into the BIOS and boot from the windows USB, pick "repair your PC", then "continue to windows 10", it will boot into windows no problem. What's more it will let me boot straight into windows even if I restart or shut down. But after 5 or 10 minutes it will revert back to normal.

Edit: I was installing some drivers and the PC crashed. When I booted I couldn't get into windows even using the USB, so I had to do a fresh install. It now seems to be booting up properly. Hopefully this will last.

what are specs of the PC?

could be you need to replace cmos battery, it might be dead... be one reason I can think why it loses boot order so fast.

    • MSI Radeon RX 6600
    • ASUS B660-PLUS D4
    • Intel Core i5 12400F 6 Core Alder Lake CPU/Processor
    • Crucial RAM 16GB DDR4
    • Noctua NH-U12S redux
    • Intel Disque Dur SSD 1TB
    • Fractal Design Meshify C
    • EVGA 650 B5 80 PLUS Bronze 650W Fully Modular Power Supply

I'll get a CMOS battery tommorrow and try it.
