[SOLVED] Windows won’t install on my m.2 ssd

I have been trying to install windows 10 on my new “Samsung 970evo” m.2

But I only get a error saying
“Windows can not be installed on this drive. The computer hardware might not support booting on the drive. Control that the drive controller is activated in the computer BIOS”

I have looked everywhere in the bios for the setting or something similar, but no luck.


Installing from usb drive

Motherbord: Rog Maximus VII
Drive: Samsung 970 evo m.2

The thing which stands out is the SSD is NVMe and the motherboard doesn't seem to have that support out of the box.

suggests a work around if you have another hard drive.
