So I was playing a gaming and suddenly the screen crashed. After restarting the system Windows 7 would not start. It just has a black screen after the Windows logo without the cursor or anything.

Windows only starts in safe mode or if the display driver is uninstalled. The problem occurs again when I install any driver.

I have a feeling my graphic card has a defect. Is there any other possibility?

Solution
It's dead, replace it.

Full system specs available? Have you tried any driver cleaning software while in safe mode? Does software in safe mode correctly identify the card model? I would try driver cleaner or something like DDU and attempt to install again. If no luck here, it may be a failing card. Fans spinning correctly as well?

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.33 Ghz
RAM: 4 GB
PSU: 400 W
Graphics: Radeon HD 7750

I haven't tried any driver cleaning software, just the driver uninstall from the Device Manager. The graphic card is being identified correctly in safe mode. Fans seem to be running alright.

I've notice the Gigabyte screen right when I switch on the computer is also not clear and has dots running all over the screen which gives me the impression that the graphic card might have taken a hit.
