im stuck on the generic non pnp monitor
the card is fine since i checked it in the advance settings and device manager

the moniter is old so using a VGA to DVI convertor
please help

There may be a setting in BIOS that sets the default VGA device - is it set to 'On-board'?

If you get your monitor back then go to Control Panel and select 'Sound'.

Is the default set to S/PDIF? Change it if you can.

If you can't, then download and install the latest drivers for your audio device.

Before you install, uninstall the current audio driver but do not restart the computer.

Let us know how you get on.

the bois is of hp and i dont know how to configure it
windows 7 should pick the motherboard drivers
and i installed the latest ati drivers from the website
can u help me configure?
my pc is a hp dc 7700p

Press F2 (or F10 or Delete depending on your machine) right after you press the power button.

Have a look through the settings and see if there is a default setting for the VGA or Video device.

If there is, set it to PCI-E, not on-board and then save your changes and exit.

Do you have the monitor connected to the right hole in the computer?
