Windows won't let me connect all my displays at once. (4 Screens, Radeon HD 6850)

So my setup consists of my three 20" monitors and one TV. My monitors are connected via two DVI & one DP, while my TV is using HDMI. Windows will not let me have all four screens active at the same time, but it's being rather weird about it..

I can have ether:

A) All three monitors active, but not the TV

or

B) My two monitors that are via DVI connected & the TV via HDMI, but not the Display Port monitor

It would seem that I cannot have the DP active at the same time as my HDMI..

What causes this, and what can I do to avoid it in order to have all four screens up and running at the same time? Is it even possible to avoid it? My monitors are running in 1600x900 each, and the TV of course is 1080p. Like the title says, I'm running a Radeon HD 6850 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121419)

A $30 HD6450 can add a fourth screen easily, and you can still game with the HD6850 on the main screen attached to it.

If you get a NEW card then you need to investigate the output details carefully. You want to do this...

Oh I didn't realize that, sorry, but thank you for the info. I'm planning on upgrading my card around Christmas time, maybe black Friday if I can snag a good deal, but what would I need to look for as far as output ports in a new card? I was looking at the R9 280x (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121803) But I see it's got the same ports as my current card. It does say it supports up to 6 monitors though, so what type of splitters would be best to use, if I 'd require something like that?

You're looking for a card that can output 2xDVI, 1xHDMI, 1xDP at the same time. That info would be in the Manual near the front likely. You can usually download that from the graphics card support site (i.e. Asus).
