Question Windows won't recognize internal speakers or my sound card

I have a laptop (a Alienware Area 51m), and when I booted it up this morning, the computer wouldn't play sound to the internal speaker. Looking in the device manager, neither the sound card nor the internal speakers were recognized, along with any device connected to the headphone jack, though bluetooth speakers still worked. I'd appreciate any suggestions you guys have for how to fix this issue, or even what the problem is. Thanks!

Most likely you had a Windows update that messed it up. Go to the manufacturer's website , download and reinstall your sound drivers.

I already tried that, as well as resetting my bios settings. There hasn’t been a Windows update in 5 days.
