Hello,

I'm newcomer, so don't judge me if i say something wrong. :)
So i want to make bootable windows xp CD so i can install windows xp by pressing F8 when pc starts.
I came to local store, and i saw many types of disks like: DVD+R, DVD-R, CD+R, CD-R, so which one is the best for making bootable windows cd?

and how to make bootable cd? Thanks for the answers, it means a lot for me. :)

Let's back up a bit, before you buy a disk, what do you plan on putting on it? Do you have an XP disk alreay you want to copy? That is fine, you just will need your own setup code to use it. The actual XP disk is not an issue to copy or share, it's the code that you pay for. You need either an XP disk to copy or an ISO file which is an image...

XP is sent out on CDs, but will work with a DVD as well. Since DVDs hold a lot more data, I'd get a DVD, either -R or +R will work. The only issue may be if you use it on an older computer that only has a CD drive, then the DVD will not be readble.
