Windows xp constand beep when boot

Hello,
just installed/replaced upgraded ram from 1gb to 4gb. If I put both strips in to give me 4gb I get a constant beep and windows won't load yet 1 x 2gb on it's own in either slot works

Either one stick is bad or your mobo doesn't support 4GB. Get us the exact name and make of your mobo and we can tell you.
