Windows XP Hard Drive Problems

Hello,
In explorer, properties of the hard drive say it is 20 GB. In the bios, detection say it's 300 GB. WHY?

There could be a number of reasons, namely, is it partitioned and are you simply looking at one of the partitions in explorer?
