My BIOS is version 0906.

Hi,
I have this problem trying to install Win XP professional on my sabertooth 990fx r2
I am running win 7 on another HDD and it works great.
The problem is trying to setup another HDD with Win XP on it,
I get a bluescreen after the win xp disk is loaded.
I changed in the Bios AHCI to IDE and still had the same problem.
All other drives are disconnected, only the HDD im trying to install win xp on connected.
I get this error message...
stop: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF748E0BF, 0xF78DA208, 0xF78D9F08)
PCI.SYS - ADDRESS F748E0BF base at F7487000, DATESTAMP 3b7d855c
The manual that came with the board says it supports XP.
I don't really want to update the BIOS unless its absolutely necessary.
I have read its because Win XP doesn't have AHCI.
It is getting a bit old and I haven't done a new build in a few years.
These boards have the ability to keep SATA 1-4 on AHCI and change 5-6 to IDE.
Ive tried the DVD-ROM on AHCI and IDE and the HDD on IDE.
Im at a loss, I really want win xp installed on another drive so I can use a couple of other programs because, they wont work on the win 7 xp compatability.
Any help would be appreciated
