Hey all

I have an old computer with windows XP home. I use the computer only for banking. No Email, gaming or general web surfing. I only go to secure web sites.

The question is ..... Is it safe to continue using Windows XP with google Chrome or would I be better off using my new computer build with Windows 10 that I do game, email and all the other stuff that I could encounter Malware?

Thanks in advance

switch to firefox ESR rather than chrome.

frankly, I would feel as safe banking on XP than any other OS. (Not that I would be doing my banking online to begin with, but...)
just make sure you have a strong AntiVirus as well.
Avast still supports XP.

Thanks All. I appreciate the input.

Unfortunately the Bank who bought my mortgage makes it difficult to do any other way than online. The only alternatives I have is to mail a check to them through an unreliable Postal service or take off work and drive the 30 miles to their office. I would use my Iphone but I know that has a virus on it for sure contrary to the apple "genius" Thinking of building a new budget PC just for banking. Since i will only use the PC for banking, I feel a bit safer. Wish I knew more about how hackers get into your systems without email and checking out porn.
