Windows XP Pro Onboard Sound Card

I Just Reinstalled XP and my onboard sound isn't working. I ran services.msc and My Windows Audio says it's started but no sound. In My Device Manager it says under Sound,Video and Game Cotrllers that I have Audio Codecs,Legacy Audio Drivers,Legacy Video Capture Devices,Media Control Devices and Video Codecs. When I open Control Panel to Check my Sound and Audio Devices though it says under the volume tab "No Audio Device".

Please Help.TY in advance.

Have you tried downloading the latest drivers from your motherboard manufacturers web site?

1st. Download and install Microsoft UAA HD audio driver

2nd Install the audio driver normally supplied on CD with your motherboard or download from manufacturers website.

Come back to us with motherboard model if having issues finding it.

Also, the PC is a Dell Dimension 4600 and i have other stuff in it if u need i can list.

All I know is my motherboard is a ACPI Multiprocessor PC. I only know to look in Device Manager for that though so if there is somewhere else to look please let me know.
