I see a couple sales ads from links here where you can get Windows XP Pro x64 for $75. Whats the catch? Can you get the service packs and all the updates with a "promo" version? I also see Windows XP Pro oem 32bit for around $104. Would I still be able to get service pack and updates for that? Also I am up grading to a am2 x64 processor and will play games so are there any advantages or disadvantages to using the xp x64 version. I have seen some answers previously and it seems it makes no difference if its the 64 bit version or the 32 bit version. 8O

Not too sure about a site that sales a promotional Win 2k3 server for over $500 (item that is commonly given away at seminars, classes, etc.)

That version of XP should be fine though for receiving service packs, etc. if you want to pay that much for a promotional copy and as long as it isn't a used copy that's already been registered...
