IMO, it's more like Windows 98 Second Edition.

WinMe was not just a simple update, it was completely 32 bit, unlike Win95/98.

As you said, it'll probably end up being like 98se.

If you don't use backdated 16 bit drivers, then WinME is not bad compared to Win98

Microsoft has us all by the balls. If we don't buy it doom3 and half life 2 wont work. Then they'll make it so you need a pci express video card to play both of them.

Even WinXP SP1 Intergrated doesn't go by the FCKGW "technology", or so I hear...

POST is way overrated, the black screen and beeps should be enough for most people.
