Windows98 Hangs During Shutdown

60% of the time, when I tell Windows98 to Shutdown, it gets as far as the, "Windows is Now Shutting Down" screen and then Hangs. Any Ideas?

There is a shutdown patch for Windows 98 at the Microsoft web site.

this problem can also be caused by anti-virus programs that are set to scan drives at shutdown. try disabling the floppy scan at shutdown if you are using an anti-virus program.

If the patch is what you need, just go to Windows Update.
