Question " winload.efi error " at repair screen on Lenovo desktop PC ?

I might be getting ahead of my self, but my friend was complaining his Lenovo Legion 5 desktop PC with Windows 11 was freezing, I discovered when I tried entering the Choose an Option Repair mode, I got a winload.efi error 0xc0000225. Now it appears the original freezing was the result of his Norton Antivirus, which has since been uninstalled; the computer has never had any issue booting and it's not freezing anymore apparently, but the winload.efi error still has my attention.

I attempted to create a recovery USB, but it resulted in the same error (I tried booting the USB on another Windows 11 computer and it resulted in the same error). One thing I did not immediately try is to turn off Safeboot in the bios. I have since created another Windows 11 Recovery USB from another computer that works and have a whole list of the usual fixes to try once I return to his house and can access the command prompt, plus I have a EaseUS WinPE boot disc.

My main question at this point is whether it's really anything to get excited about since the computer is working fine, except you can't access the Recovery/Repair system. OTOH the fact that it created a Recovery USB that doesn't work has me thinking the computer could be on borrowed time. Any advice would be welcome.

Solution
Well the issue was apparently not resolved. When inspected by a computer repair service, a problem with an update was discovered and resolved, but the problem persisted. The owner then discovered the computer had two sound cards. He disabled one of the cards and the freezing stopped.

Might I ask where you sourced the installer for your installer?

Lenovo have a number of SKU's listed under the Legion 5, which one do you have?

If you can't access the recovery section, then it's possible that the OS is partially corrupt though it's good practice to make sure any and/or all mission critical data are backed up in the event the OS decides to not boot to GUI.

I created the recovery USB from from one of my Lenovo laptops with windows 11 (this is basically a WinRE USB, not a USB to reload Windows/Drivers). The purpose was simply to get to a command prompt, which it did. I ran a SCF scan, which said it fixed some errors, but didn't correct the problem. It turns out my friend uses the computer for gaming and business. When constructed the builder grafted together two computers, installing the old mechanical HDD with his old business files and created a cloud back up system that also saves data to a remote server and apparently the current Windows11 OS was also cloned over the OEM install; IOW way out of my league. At this point I just backed away and advised him to contact his IT guy for any further advice. The freezing has stopped so he is happy. Thanks for your response.
