I issue command "browstat status" in a PDC running WinNT
Server 4.0 SP6a and get the following message.

Browsing is NOT active on domain.
Master browser name is held by: MyPDC
Master browser is running build 1381

I then try to use browmon.exe and the domain name,
transport and the master brower name are all correct.

When using dommon.exe, the domain name is correct but the
PDC shows 'PDC not found'.

"nbtstat -n" shows 1B and 1C entries are the correct
domain name with the correct IP address. The PDC is also
listed with the same IP address as the 1B record.

Please kindly assist where my PDC goes.

Thanks.

Out of curiosity verify if the computer browser
service is running on the PDC by manually stopping
and restarting the service using the services applet in
the control panel.
